Tom Brady’s Final Patriots Pass Auctioned for Animal Welfare

Tom Brady’s last pass as a New England Patriot holds a unique place in football lore, not for its usual heroics but for the interception that ended an era. During the 2020 AFC Wild Card Game against the Tennessee Titans, Brady’s pass was intercepted by Logan Ryan, who ran it back for a touchdown, sealing the Patriots’ fate. This moment marked the conclusion of Brady’s 20-year legacy with the Patriots, setting the stage for a new chapter in his career.

Fast forward to 2022, Brady and Ryan found themselves as teammates on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It was during this time that Ryan approached Brady with a special request—to sign and inscribe the infamous football from that final play. Brady personalized the football with his signature and poignant details, immortalizing the event as a pivotal moment in football history. The autographed football quickly garnered attention on social media, becoming an instant sensation.

Both Brady and Ryan share a passion for supporting animal welfare causes, extending beyond their football careers. Their involvement in volunteering and advocating for animal rights led them to collaborate on a charitable initiative. Inspired by their mutual dedication to this cause, Ryan made the decision to auction the historic football through Goldin Auctions. All proceeds from the sale will benefit the Ryan Animal Rescue Foundation (RARF), a nonprofit organization established by Ryan and his wife, Ashley, to aid shelters and rescues in improving the lives of animals.

The Wilson “Duke” football has been authenticated as the actual ball from Brady’s final pass as a Patriot and includes a Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA. Additionally, a Letter of Provenance signed by Logan Ryan accompanies the football, certifying its historical significance and authenticity.

The upcoming auction presents a rare opportunity for football enthusiasts and collectors to own a piece of sports history while contributing to a noble cause. Ryan emphasizes that the football symbolizes more than a game-ending play; it signifies new beginnings for the animals that will benefit from the auction and the legacy of the two athletes involved.

Anticipation is high for the auction, with the football’s rich history and charitable purpose expected to draw widespread interest. Prospective bidders can participate in the auction through Goldin Auctions, with all proceeds directly supporting RARF’s mission to champion animal welfare causes.

This auction not only commemorates a pivotal moment in football but also underscores the ongoing commitment of athletes like Ryan and Brady to make a difference in their communities through meaningful philanthropy.
