Emmitt Smith Inspired Collection: Reebok x Panini Prizm Preseason

On June 10, 2024, in Boston, Reebok and Panini America marked the exciting launch of their newest joint project – a distinct collection honoring the legendary Emmitt Smith. This collaboration intertwines customized sneakers and sports cards in a captivating blend, building on the success of their previous partnership that intricately merged iconic footwear with the irresistible charm of trading cards under the renowned Prizm brand. The range encompasses updated versions of the classic “Preseason ’94” and the personalized “ES22” models, along with a stylish “Preseason” clothing line, all priced attractively between $40 and $80.

Back in 1993, the bond between Emmitt Smith and Reebok first ignited when he became the face of the brand’s revolutionary “Preseason” lineup of turf shoes. The groundbreaking ES22, Smith’s signature shoe, debuted in 1996, distinguished by its innovative design tailored to match Smith’s exceptional athletic capabilities. In 2009, Smith’s affiliation expanded to include Panini America, aligning with the introduction of the now-famous “Prizm” sports card brand in 2012, acclaimed for its lustrous opti-chrome finish and sought-after collectible inserts.

The collection boasts three distinctive sneaker models that integrate elements from the captivating Prizm card series:

1. Preseason ’94 Low “Purple Prizm”: This adaptation features a blend of purple, white, and black hues with a leather upper and Prizm-inspired accents, retailing at $120.

2. Preseason ’94 “Gold Prizm”: Showcasing a bold gold color palette, this model includes premium upgrades reminiscent of Panini’s Gold Prizm cards, available for $140.

3. ES22 “Color Blast”: Priced at $200, this patent leather version in white flaunts a vibrant midsole and Prizm detailing, drawing inspiration from Panini’s exclusive “Color Blast” cards.

Furthermore, each purchase of the “ES22 Color Blast” model will include an exclusive Emmitt Smith trading card by Panini x Reebok, encompassing designs from Smith’s illustrious career in addition to an array of rare card parallels.

This exclusive “Reebok x Panini Prizm Preseason” collection, weaving together sports legacy with contemporary collectible appeal, will be accessible worldwide starting on June 14, 2024, through Reebok.com and select retailers. This launch follows the remarkable triumph of their initial collaboration with basketball icon Allen Iverson in 2022.

Embrace the legacy of a true sports legend with the Emmitt Smith Inspired Collection by Reebok and Panini America – a fusion of style, heritage, and collectibility in one exhilarating package.
