Memory Lane’s Exclusive Auction Showcases Prestigious Vintage Card Collection

Memory Lane’s highly anticipated Premier Auction is captivating sports card enthusiasts with its exclusive collection of rare and highly sought-after vintage cards. Running until February 4th, this prestigious event boasts a carefully curated catalog filled with historically significant pieces that are sure to attract collectors from far and wide.

One of the crown jewels of the auction is the 1909 T204 Ramly Walter Johnson rookie card. With only two cards in NM/MT condition graded PSA 8, this rare gem quickly skyrocketed to a six-figure bid. Equally mesmerizing is the T206 Ty Cobb Portrait (Green) card, of which only three copies in PSA 7 exist. Also featured is a coveted PSA 6 Cobb ‘Bat Off Shoulder’ Old Mill back variant.

The pre-war era is well-represented with exceptional cards such as the PSA 7 graded T206 Cy Young and the highest graded PSA 9 T206 Nap Lajoie (Throwing) card. Another standout item is the 1952 Bowman Mickey Mantle card in PSA 9 grade, one of only thirteen at this level, with just two known to be higher graded.

Continuing Mickey Mantle’s legendary legacy, the auction also offers six additional cards from the 1950s, each graded either 8 or 9. These include prized versions from the 1953 Topps and Bowman series, making them highly sought-after by collectors.

Roberto Clemente’s cards from 1956 to 1973 dominate the auction, with numerous Mint 9 graded cards available. His collection of highly rated cards significantly outnumbers those of other players in the event. Willie Mays is another prominent figure in the auction, with exceptional pieces such as a rare 1962 Topps card graded PSA 9 and a 1970 Topps card, one of only two graded PSA 10.

In addition to these legendary players, the auction also includes four Jackie Robinson cards, offering PSA graded versions of his 1949 Bowman and 1952 Topps issues. Notably, it also features PSA 10 rookie cards of baseball greats George Brett and Rickey Henderson.

Football enthusiasts will find high-grade rookie cards of legendary players like Frank Gifford, Johnny Unitas, and Joe Namath. Basketball collectors, meanwhile, are presented with rookie cards of basketball icons, including Bill Russell (PSA 7), Wilt Chamberlain (PSA 8), Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (PSA 8), Larry Bird/Magic Johnson (PSA 9), and Michael Jordan (PSA 8).

Memory Lane’s Premier Auction offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for collectors to acquire a piece of sports history. With the event culminating on February 4th, interested parties are encouraged to visit Memory Lane’s website to explore the remarkable selection and place their bids.
